Another fantastic festival is all done and dusted. Everyone had such a brilliant time. Special thanks must go out to the fabulous performers Them Beatles, Baka Beyond and Loudmouth for bringing their music to Fintry and of course extra special thanks to all the hard working staff and volunteers for making the Festival such a great event. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.
If you have any photos or stories of the Festival weekend please do share them on our FSRC Facebook page and help us re-live the fun.

SATURDAY HEADLINE ANNOUNCEMENT!!
We are in the midsts of organising this yearâs Fintry Music Festival and we are delighted to announce the first of our headline acts. Saturday 16th May will see African rhythm with a Celtic soul, Baka Beyond, take to the stage. Baka Beyond will be supported by Loudmouth.
Baka Beyondâs new album âAfter The Tempestâ was released in Spring 2014 and included songs written especially for a version of Shakespeareâs âThe Tempestâ that was performed at the Penpont Estate. The current touring unit is bringing the Spirit of the Forest to shows in UK and USA. Martin Cradick (guitar), Su Hart (vocals) and Clyde Kramer (drums) have all spent time living and playing music with the Baka Pygmies in their rainforest home. Ayodele Scott (percussion) brings the rhythms and colour of his native Sierra Leone into the mix, while all these elements are grounded by the solid Congolese grooves of Kibisingo (bass). The lineup is completed by Ellie Jamison on vocals, who returned to Baka Beyond in 2012. You can hear her on the Baka Beyond albums âSogoâ and âEast to Westâ as well as the next one.
After 20 years of mixing African and Celtic music in equal measures Baka Beyond have become one of the finest danceable bands around, creating the sound of the global village. Baka Beyond has evolved into a multicultural, dynamic live stage show and album sales top a quarter of a million copies. Band members hail from Brittany, Cameroon, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Congo and Ghana as well as Britain. Each musician brings their own influence and talent to the music creating a unique spectacle and honoring a lesson learned from the Baka people, âeveryone is to be listened toâ.
Baka Beyondâs years of touring have paid off. The energy of their thoroughly uplifting and seamless blend of African rhythm and Celtic melody defies anybody to sit still. They recently headlined Edmonton Folk Festival and wowed the 15,000 strong crowd, most of whom were new to the magic of Baka Beyond.â
â. . . if you are not dancing, maybe you should have someone check your pulse.â âThe party atmosphere was irrepressible.â Evening Standard
âTheir music is joyous, uplifting and authentic, their on stage presence is exciting and infectious, and for us, as an established world/roots music festival they always deliver.â Liz Holmes, Knockengorroch organiser
